Core Web Vitals

A set of Google metrics measuring user experience: loading performance, interactivity, and visual stability.

What is Core Web Vitals?

Core Web Vitals are three specific metrics that Google uses to measure page experience. LCP (Largest Contentful Paint) measures loading speed. INP (Interaction to Next Paint) measures responsiveness. CLS (Cumulative Layout Shift) measures visual stability. These are ranking factors in Google Search.

Example

A page with good Core Web Vitals loads its main content in under 2.5 seconds, responds to clicks in under 200ms, and doesn't have content jumping around as it loads.
